Levente is a Hungarian born photo artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
His passion for photography started in his childhood. While trying to find his own perspective and way of self-expression he first experimented with colour negative and slide films.
Soon after, he discovered the black & white film which can transmit a clear, rich textural contrast and subtle tonality – what he feels is most important in his photographic expression. Since then, his works are predominantly captured on black & white film using medium and large format analogue cameras.
His favourite subjects strive to depict the delicacy of the human body, the beauty of nature and the elegance of architecture.
Levente’s prints are all handmade and processed with care in his own darkroom, using traditional silver gelatin technique.
His works have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions, in art galleries and have also been acquired by private collectors.
